As part of efforts to strengthen the linkage between academic education and labor market needs, the Egyptian Swiss Group for Pasta, Milling, and Concentrates is participating in the 2026 Annual Job Fair of the Faculty of Agriculture at Ain Shams University, held on February 15–16. The event is organized under the patronage of Professor Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, and Professor Walaa Mohamed Abdel Ghany, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, with broad participation from leading companies operating in the agricultural and food sectors.

Professor Mohamed Diaa Zain El Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University, praised the Egyptian Swiss Group’s participation in the fair, stressing that cooperation with major industrial entities is a cornerstone of a successful university education system. He emphasized that aligning education with labor market requirements is among the university’s top priorities, ensuring the graduation of qualified cadres capable of keeping pace with the needs of modern productive sectors.

The university president added that the annual job fair serves as an effective platform to enhance partnerships with the private sector and to open real horizons for students in training and employment, thereby supporting sustainable development plans.

For his part, Professor Walaa Mohamed Abdel Ghany, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, said the fair aims to create direct engagement between students and graduates and business institutions, while introducing them to available training and employment opportunities within major companies. He noted that the faculty is keen to develop its curricula and training programs in line with market needs, adding that the fair strengthens students’ practical exposure and enhances their readiness to enter the labor market immediately after graduation.

Engineer Ahmed Sebaie, General Manager of the Egyptian Swiss Group for Pasta, Milling, and Concentrates, said the group’s participation in the fair stems from its social responsibility and its commitment to supporting and qualifying young talents, emphasizing that investment in human capital is a key pillar of the group’s strategy.

Sebaie explained that the Egyptian Swiss Group offers hands-on training opportunities for students within its factories and specialized laboratories, providing them with real field experience, in addition to offering job opportunities in quality functions across the pasta, flour, and sauce sectors.

Meanwhile, Sameh Afifi, Director of Development and Human Resources at the Egyptian Swiss Group for Pasta, Milling, and Concentrates, affirmed that participation in the job fair comes within a clear strategy aimed at building a sustainable base of young, qualified competencies for work in the food industries.

Afifi added that the group is keen on direct engagement with students and graduates to understand their career aspirations and to explain the nature of the career paths available across its various sectors, helping to guide them practically toward labor market requirements, while providing training and capability development within the framework of the group’s social responsibility and support for youth.

He also noted that the group’s human resources department designs integrated training and professional development programs implemented within factories and laboratories, focusing on developing technical and behavioral skills and instilling a culture of quality, occupational safety, and institutional discipline.

Afifi concluded by emphasizing that the Egyptian Swiss Group places special focus on preparing future leaders from within the organization through continuous evaluation and development programs, underscoring that investment in human resources is a fundamental pillar for enhancing the group’s competitiveness and supporting the growth of Egypt’s food industries sector locally and regionally.
