Cityscape Egypt 2023 kicks off under the patronage of the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities
Cairo, September 20, 2023: Cityscape Egypt, the premier real estate exhibition in Egypt and Africa, kicked off its 12th edition today under the esteemed patronage of the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities. Organized by Informa Markets, the world leader in organizing exhibitions, the event will continue until September 23 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center (EIEC) in New Cairo.
This year, Cityscape brings together over 70 prominent exhibitors from the real estate sector, showcasing a wide range of projects with modern international architectural designs. The exhibition serves as a unique platform for networking, knowledge transfer, and staying updated with the latest trends and technologies. Its primary objective is to contribute to shaping the future of real estate in Egypt and act as a catalyst for investment opportunities, both locally and globally.
Dr. Waleed Abbas, Assistant Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities for the New Urban Communities Authority, and the supervisor of the planning and projects sector in the authority, inaugurated Cityscape Egypt 2023. During his opening speech, he emphasized the vital role of the real estate sector in the national economy, its contribution to the GDP, and the employment opportunities it generates in related sectors such as construction and industry.
Dr. Abbas stated: “The government has implemented several regulations to revitalize the real estate sector, enabling developers to expand their investments in line with Egypt Vision 2030. This vision aims to achieve sustainable economic development and establish Egypt as a regional and global investment hub across all sectors.”
He added: “Cityscape plays an instrumental role in attracting investments to the real estate sector and facilitating direct communication between potential property buyers and developers. The exhibition provides a platform for showcasing new projects and discussing the latest advancements in design, engineering, construction, and technologies such as AI, all of which contribute to shaping the future of Egypt’s real estate sector.”
Additionally, Dr. Abbas highlighted the importance of the Cityscape Talks platform, where experts from various sectors, including real estate, government, finance, and decision-makers, discuss the future of the industry. It is expected to give insight into the most important developments in the public and private sectors, future investment prospects, financing options, mortgages, and sustainability in the real estate sector, and discusses many important topics, such as the role of the Egyptian government in supporting the real estate sector, and investment prospects in the sector, the financing options available to real estate developers, the role of banks in different financing, and investors’ preferences.
Over 60,000 real estate professionals have already registered for Cityscape Egypt 2023 and is expected to attract a significant number of investors and real estate developers. It serves as a unique platform for networking, knowledge transfer, and staying updated with the latest trends and technologies. The exhibition aims to support, stimulate, and contribute to the growth of investments in the real estate sector.
