Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation partnered with Ricrac Shop, a pioneering Egyptian brand specializing in premium home essentials. During the holy month of Ramadan, the initiative generated donations through Ricrac’s two limited-edition prayer mats, with 100% of proceeds dedicated to advancing the Foundation’s mission. Reflecting a shared commitment to purposeful giving during the holy month, the initiative transformed a symbolic Ramadan item into a meaningful platform for positive impact. It achieved notable success, with 500 prayer mats sold, and all proceeds directly supporting expanded access to life-saving cardiac care for children, while also strengthening the foundation’s medical, training, and research programs. The collaboration also highlights the growing role of responsible brands in supporting impactful healthcare initiatives, demonstrating how partnerships between the private sector and charitable organizations can create meaningful change. By linking everyday purchases with a humanitarian cause, the initiative encourage d individuals to contribute to a life-saving mission while embracing the spirit of generosity that defines the holy month. Notably, The Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation is opening Magdi Yacoub Global Heart Centre in Cairo, expanding its life-saving mission. Designed to operate at three times the capacity of the Aswan Heart Centre, the new center will treat up to 12,000patients each year, serve 120,000 outpatients, provide 300 inpatient beds, operate 10 fully equipped operating rooms and cardiac catheterization labs, and run 35 out patient clinics, all within a world-class, free-of-charge model of cardiac care that sets a global benchmark for excellence.
