The event, under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, saw over 1,000 participants of all ages and family members coming together to champion sustainability, emphasize the crucial need for environmental protection and counteract pollution.
The carefully curated agenda of the event focused on the significance of individual actions and practices in preserving the environment and its resources, including plastic recycling, group transportation, walking as an alternative mode of commute, zero food waste, sustainable fashion, and the conservation of natural resources such as water and electricity for both current and future generations.
In addition to the marathon, a diverse array of activities was arranged, featuring a bazaar for local brands, engaging competitions and various fun games. The day concluded with a special celebration in the presence of supporting partners, such as Cairo Runners, Hyde Park Developments, The Egyptian Food Bank, The Egyptian Clothing Bank, The Egyptian Carbon Center, Meyyah Company, E7kky Foundation, Verynile initiative, among others.
