Back in 2019, with the Reno 10x Zoom, OPPO introduced the world’s first periscope camera in a smartphone. Find X6 and Find X7 continued this legacy, advancing periscope technology with more sophisticated lenses and larger sensors.
With Find X8 Series, we set out to redefine mobile telephoto photography once again, integrating advanced AI to bring the telephoto experience to life like never before.
Triple Prism Periscope Structure
We all love the power of a periscope lens to capture distant details, but it comes with a challenge: size. Achieving the necessary distance between the lens and sensor while also featuring a large sensor has traditionally made periscope modules bulky and heavy. In a smartphone design, every millimetre matters, so how can you combine far-reaching zoom without compromising on a slender, sleek design?
With Find X8 Series, we re-imagined what a telephoto lens could be by introducing the innovative Triple Prism Periscope structure on our 3x telephoto lens.
This design is truly unique. By using a accustomed prism that allows the light to be reflected three times, we created a longer optical path without increasing the module’s size. Compared to traditional periscope lenses, the Triple Prism Periscope design reduces volume by 33%, one of the key reasons behind Find X8 and Find X8 Pro’s slim designs.
But we didn’t stop there. Paired with the Triple Prism Periscope lens, we fit into a super large 50MP 1/1.95’’ flagship Sony LYT600 sensor, which is about 2.5 times the size as the 3x sensor in a competitor’s Ultra device.
This ultra-slim Triple Prism camera is more than just an incredible engineering feat. It’s also our way of giving users the reach and quality of a bulkier telephoto, all in a phone that feels sleek in the hand.
Dual-Periscope and Gapless Zoom
For fans of larger phones, our pursuit of telephoto perfection goes beyond. With Find X8 Pro, we set out to create something impressive: the world’s first globally available smartphone to feature dual-periscope telephoto cameras, including both 73mm and 135mm lenses.
In addition to the 3x Triple Prism Periscope, we took things a step further with the 6x periscope lens by re-engineering the internals to seamlessly house the entire camera module within the phone’s slim frame.
Despite its dual-periscope camera structure, Find X8 Pro maintains an impressively thin 8.24mm profile, giving you powerful zoom in a sleek, comfortable form.
More than just zoom, Find X8 Pro is an entire camera system. Combining four 50MP cameras – the ultra-wide camera features the versatility of macro focus, and the wide camera incorporates the new Sony LYT808 sensor for quality across the board. And with OPPO’s in-sensor technology, Find X8 Pro delivers Gapless Zoom, spanning from 15mm wide to over 300mm, resulting in smooth, high-quality zoom with virtually no loss throughout the range.
AI Telescope Zoom

That’s why Find X8 Series combines its powerful hardware with OPPO’s most advanced computational photography and AI imaging intelligence to date.
This breakthrough is called AI Telescope Zoom. As you zoom through different ranges, it intelligently and seamlessly integrates specialised AI enhancements to elevate each shot.
When zooming beyond 10x, AI Telescope Zoom springs into action. Using machine learning, it unlocks the full 50MP resolution of the telephoto camera, filling in details that would otherwise be lost while preserving the essence of the scene.
At 60x, where raw camera data becomes more limited, Find X8 series activates even more advanced on-device AI models to enhance the image further.
