Umit Günel, General Manager of Beko Egypt (a subsidiary of Arçelik), expressed his pleasure in meeting with Prime Minister of Egypt, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, as part of Turkish companies’ delegation interested in investing and developing the Egyptian market.
Günel praised the Egyptian government’s efforts in driving the economic wheel, as well as solving any challenges investors may face, and hastening the licensing process, enabling the company to speed up the practices of their business in the Egyptian market.
“Beko has invested $100 million in the Egyptian market for our plant project. Our goal is to support the country’s vision to become a regional hub for production and export.” Günel, stated. “The factory’s inauguration will be joint efforts between all relevant stakeholders, including the company, its partners, & the government authorities.” He added.
Günel applauded the decisions taken by the Egyptian government to support industrial localization, & its keenness on addressing any predicaments that investors may face when conducting business in Egypt, highlighting that Turkey and Egypt have a long-standing relationship and close social connections, which creates solid base for increased economic collaboration.
Furthermore, Beko Egypt’s General Manager emphasized the Egyptian government’s commitment to maintain sustainable communication with investors, noting that the recent meeting with Prime Minister reflects the government’s pivotal role in fostering the industrial sector to reach the desired economic growth in line with the state’s vision 2030 & and the political leadership strategy.
