Huawei ICT Competition is one of the many initiatives created by Huawei to support young talents in the ICT sector. The company plays an active role in nurturing youth leadership in the ICT sector, thus preparing new generations capable of driving digital transformation, in line with Egypt Vision 2030.
Since 2019, Huawei has established more than 80 academies for teaching communications and information technology, in more than 45 Egyptian universities. It succeeded in training more than 27,000 students, including 9,000 students who obtained Huawei international accredited certificates in areas such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and network. In addition, Huawei geared its efforts towards training and accrediting more than 950 university professors on Huawei’s modern technology. The company also helps these talents to obtain job opportunities through its annual Huawei HiRE employment fair, which serves as a link between companies operating in the telecommunications sector and graduates of Huawei training programs. As part of Huawei’s strategy, this fair aims to increase the number of trained talents and prepare them for the labor market to transform Egypt into a regional ICT hub and accelerate its digital transformation, in line with Egypt Vision 2030.
