Origin Technology, a leading provider of track-and-trace, automation, and digital transformation solutions, concluded its annual regional summit in Cairo under the theme: From Product Identification to Supply Chain Intelligence and Business Growth. Industry leaders, decision-makers, and technology experts gathered to explore the next generation of digital supply chain innovation.
During the summit, Origin showcased its latest solutions in product identification, track-and-trace, and brand protection. It also presented its integrated digital ecosystem designed to enhance operational efficiency and optimize supply chain management through intelligent data utilization and advanced technologies.
As part of the event, Origin introduced, for the first time in Egypt, a live operational demonstration of its latest track-and-trace machinery and digital transformation solutions. Attendees had a firsthand look at the technologies in action and their capabilities in supply chain data management, transparency, and anti-counterfeit solutions for brands, particularly across the pharmaceutical, logistics, and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sectors.
In his opening remarks, Origin Technology Chief Executive Officer, Sherif Abdelhakam, said the company has spent more than a decade continuously evolving its solutions to keep pace with market transformation and growing customer needs. He said: “Origin has evolved beyond traditional product identification solutions to build integrated digital ecosystems that connect data, operations, and stakeholders across the supply chain. This participation is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration and accelerate the pharmaceutical sector’s readiness to fulfil the regulatory requirements of Egypt’s pharmaceutical track-and-trace system, set to be implemented during 2026. The initiative aims to achieve the highest standards of compliance, transparency, and traceability across the pharmaceutical supply chain, while increasing the security and sustainability of Egypt’s pharmaceutical market.
A panel discussion titled “Beyond Track & Trace” explored how digital solutions are powering supply chain competitiveness and transforming traceability data into strategic business assets that improve inventory resilience and demand forecasting. Participants highlighted the value of Origin’s integrated digital ecosystem and software solutions, which connect production lines with supply chain intelligence. They also commended Origin’s ability to deliver advanced technology infrastructure that supports meaningful digital transformation and shapes the future of automation and logistics across the region.
The summit also featured a special recognition ceremony honoring a select group of key customers and outstanding operational partners. The event further strengthened Origin Technology’s strategic partnerships with some of the region’s leading enterprises, who trust the company’s digital solutions to drive their future growth.
Through these solutions, Origin seeks to empower organizations involved in pharmaceutical traceability systems and digital transformation, while leveraging AI technologies to increase supply chain transparency and further enhance customer software solutions. The company also reaffirmed its full readiness to support the launch of Egypt’s national track-and-trace system in collaboration with leading regional and global companies.
The event concluded with a shared emphasis on the importance of investing in innovation and digital transformation to build smarter, sustainable supply chains that drive organizational competitiveness and meet the evolving demands of the digital economy and the future of industry.
