“Valley Water”, the producer of “ELANO” water, has continued its support for Gannat Al-Khuloud Charity Association as part of a partnership extending for more than 5 years, aimed at supporting developmental and social activities serving children and families most in need. The support coincides with the association’s celebration of its 20th anniversary.
“ELANO”’s support for the association comes within the framework of “Valley Water”’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, through backing education, care, and economic empowerment programs, supporting nursery classes, tutoring groups, awareness programs, as well as handicraft and manual activities that contribute to empowering women and girls and enhancing their ability to produce and work.
Maha Abu Saa, Head of Corporate Communications, Social Responsibility, and Sustainability at “Valley Water”, said “ELANO” is a development partner to Gannat Al-Khuloud Charity Association, within a long-standing relationship built on supporting initiatives with real and sustainable impact, and strengthening the role of the private sector in improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable groups.
Abu Saa added that “ELANO”’s support for the association has not been limited to one area, but has extended to include various educational and developmental activities, including supporting the establishment of nursery classes, tutoring groups, and awareness programs, in addition to supporting the association’s handicraft and manual activities, such as training in printing, embroidery, and various industries, helping women and girls acquire practical skills that open better opportunities for work and production.
Maha Abu Saa affirmed that “Valley Water” is proud that “ELANO” is part of Gannat Al-Khuloud Charity Association’s journey in supporting children, women, and young people, as well as its transition toward manufacturing and exporting handmade products and carpets.
She noted that investing in education, skills development, and economic empowerment represents a foundation for achieving real development within the most vulnerable communities.
She explained that, through “ELANO”, the company continues to support initiatives that provide children with a better educational and care environment, help families improve their quality of life, and support women in moving from need to productivity, turning corporate social responsibility into a tangible impact on the ground.
For her part, Dr. Zainab Alloub, Founder and Chairperson of Gannat Al-Khuloud Charity Association, said the association has succeeded over 20 years in building a developmental model that serves thousands of beneficiaries in Duweiqa and Asmarat, through programs that combine education, healthcare, nutrition, and economic empowerment.
She noted that the association continues to support children, women, and young people through nurseries, literacy classes, programs supporting school dropouts, and handicraft training.
She added that the association’s journey has witnessed a number of key milestones, including the launch of the “New Human” economic empowerment program in 2017, followed by the “Dream” project in cooperation with the Banque Misr Foundation for Community Development in 2019.
She pointed to the cooperation between the Industrial Modernization Center and the association in raising production efficiency and providing handicraft training, followed by the establishment of “Gannati Manufacturing” in 2021, and the expansion of training programs, nurseries, and product sales outlets, leading to the launch of a new technology center in Asmarat in 2026 to keep pace with the requirements of digital transformation and the labor market.
Dr. Nihal Abu Gazya, Vice Chairperson of Gannat Al-Khuloud Charity Association and General Supervisor of the association’s nurseries, said the association’s vision is based on building a positive individual from the earliest stages of childhood, through focusing on early childhood education and developing the child’s cognitive, behavioral, and psychological character.
She noted that the association has graduated more than 3,000 children from the kindergarten stage over 20 years.
Dr. Nabila Makram, Head of the Technical Secretariat of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work, affirmed that civil society work has become a key partner in supporting the state’s efforts to achieve sustainable development and improve citizens’ quality of life, particularly for the most vulnerable groups.
She stressed the importance of integrating roles between civil society and the private sector.
Through its “ELANO” product, “Valley Water” aims to continue strengthening its social responsibility and supporting initiatives that contribute to empowering the most vulnerable and underserved families, with a focus on education, awareness, handicrafts, and economic development, in a way that supports the building of more sustainable communities.
