Madinet Masr (EGX: MASR.CA), one of Egypt’s leading real estate development companies, has signed a strategic letter of cooperation with the Faculty of Business Administration, Economics, and Political Science (BAEPS) at The British University in Egypt (BUE) on 15 July 2025. The aim is to establish a comprehensive framework for collaboration to advance mutual goals in community service, sustainability, and experiential learning, and provides students with practical, hands-on experience that enhances their readiness for the job market. This initiative aligns with Madinet Masr’s growth strategy and its commitment to forging impactful partnerships with academic institutions to support local development.

The cooperation was signed by Eng. Abdallah Sallam, President and CEO of Madinet Masr, and Prof. Hadia Fakhreldin, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Economics, and Political Science (BAEPS) at BUE in the presence of senior executives from Madinet Masr and several Faculty members.

Under this agreement, both parties will jointly develop specialized training and educational programs, as well as co-host workshops and seminars designed to raise awareness and build essential skills among students and professionals in business management. The partnership will also involve collaboration on innovative research projects, in-depth case studies, and issuing academic publications that enrich knowledge in business management and provide solutions to current and future challenges. This collaboration underscores the commitment of both parties to inclusive development and the empowerment of future generations.

In terms of education and career development, Madinet Masr will offer internships for students of BAEPS, aligned with the company’s needs. This will enable them to gain direct, hands-on experience in project coordination and other business-related fields, thereby enhancing their readiness for the job market. In parallel, the faculty will invite experts and caliber from Madinet Masr to deliver lectures and interactive workshops to students and academic staff, fostering knowledge exchange and industry insights. Madinet Masr will also support the faculty’s efforts to encourage students to participate in activities and social activities that align with their academic and civic learning, further strengthening their role in community engagement.

Commenting on the letter of cooperation with BUE, Eng. Abdallah Sallam, President and CEO of Madinet Masr, stated: “Madinet Masr continues to expand its partnerships with various stakeholders in the local community, reaffirming our commitment to sharing our expertise and knowledge as a leader in the real estate sector. We are proud to partner with Faculty of BAEPS at BUE in a pivotal step toward advancing knowledge development and strengthening the integration between the real estate industry and academic institutions. At Madinet Masr, we view education not merely as a pathway to employment but as a fundamental driver of a sustainable, knowledge-based economy. Through this partnership, we aspire to set a leading example of how practical experience can be integrated with academic education, enhancing youth preparedness for the future and contributing meaningfully to Egypt’s development goals and the empowerment of national talent.”

Prof. Hadia Fakhr El-Din, Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Economics, Political Science (BAEPS) of The British University in Egypt, confirmed that “the strategic partnership with Madinet Masr will strengthen the ties between the academic sector and the industrial sector. This is one of the Faculty’s prominent goals to strengthen the educational process, by empowering students through applied learning and developing their skills in line with the requirements of the labor market; in addition to, coordinating joint cooperation between leading entities in the field of entrepreneurship and creating direct pathways towards a better educational future for the college’s students.”. This reflects our Faculty’s motto: BAEPS – Empowering Minds, Leading the Future.

Alongside this, Prof. Amany Khodair, Vice Dean for Enterprise and Community Service at BAEPS, adds that “the outcome of such strategic partnership with Madinet Masr fulfills the goals of the Faculty’s Enterprise and Community Service Committee’s (ECSC) for continuous partnership, community empowerment, and enterprise development.”

From her side, Maryam Ayad, Vice President of People and Culture at Madinet Masr, added: “This agreement reflects our strong commitment to empowering youth and equipping them with the skills required to thrive in today’s labor market. At Madinet Masr, we believe that investing in young talent through practical training and hands-on educational initiatives is essential to preparing a new generation capable of making meaningful contributions to the Egyptian market. Our partnership with BUE marks a strategic step toward bridging the gap between academic needs and market requirements. By preparing students capable of adding value, we aim to build a solid foundation of qualified professionals who will drive the real estate sector’s growth and strengthen its competitiveness.”

Madinet Masr is committed to reinforcing its leadership in Egypt’s real estate sector by deepening community engagement and cultivating strategic partnerships that align with its ambitious growth vision.
