OPPO, the world’s leading smart device brand, has highlighted the key achievements of its 2025 Sustainability Report, reaffirming its commitment to delivering innovative technology that is more inclusive, environmentally responsible, and aligned with the evolving needs of its consumers. The milestones reflect OPPO’s long-term vision of integrating sustainability across its products, operations, and business practices while continuing to strengthen its investment and presence in its markets worldwide.
Through its 2025 Sustainability Report, OPPO showcased the progress achieved across its five-pillar sustainability framework covering Operations and Compliance, Environmental Protection, Caring for Employees, Virtuous Innovation, and Ecosystem Engagement. The framework reflects the company’s commitment to embedding sustainability into every stage of its business while delivering technologies that create lasting value for users and communities alike.
In 2025, OPPO advanced its green and low-carbon strategy by completing product life cycle assessments for 23 smartphone models to better understand and reduce environmental impact across sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, usage, and recycling. The company also continued expanding the use of recycled materials across its packaging, with recycled wastepaper accounting for approximately 43% of smartphone packaging materials by weight.
In parallel, OPPO continued advancing its low-carbon operations by achieving a further 1.22% year-on-year reduction in carbon emissions from its own operations, while renewable electricity usage across its manufacturing bases increased by nearly 70%, reflecting the company’s ongoing commitment to building a more resource-efficient and environmentally responsible operating model.
Another key highlight from the report is OPPO’s continued focus on digital inclusion through accessibility-driven innovation. During 2025, the company further optimized more than 30 core ColorOS applications with accessibility enhancements designed to support users with visual, hearing, and motor impairments. These features include screen-to-audio conversion, speech-to-text capabilities, enhanced readability tools, and visual notifications, making smartphones more intuitive and accessible to a wider range of users.
Guided by its mission, “Technology for Mankind, Kindness for the World,” OPPO continues to turn technological innovation into practical solutions that advance digital inclusion and healthier lifestyles. This is supported by an extensive portfolio of patents that stood at 118,000 patent applications and 66,000 patent grants as of the end of 2025.
Building on its commitment to improving everyday wellbeing through technology, OPPO also officially launched the OPPO Fitness Health Laboratory in Binhaiwan, the company’s largest global sports health research facility. The laboratory focuses on areas including exercise science, cardiovascular health, sleep health, lifestyle management, and AI-powered health solutions, helping transform advanced research into practical technologies that enable users to manage their health more proactively.
Beyond its products and operations, OPPO continued creating positive social impact through partnerships and community initiatives. During 2025, the company contributed more than USD 5.4 million to public welfare initiatives supporting education, cultural preservation, and community resilience around the world.
Among the year’s notable initiatives was OPPO’s continued collaboration with UNESCO to advance educational equity and digital inclusion through the donation of 1,000 tablets supporting information technology education across five countries in Asia and Africa. The company also continued its partnership with Discovery Channel through the “Culture in a Shot” initiative, celebrating cultural diversity while encouraging people to preserve and share local heritage through mobile photography.
Through these achievements, OPPO continues to demonstrate that innovation and sustainability go hand in hand, further strengthening its position across its markets globally and locally. As the company expands its footprint in Egypt, it remains committed to delivering responsible technologies that empower users, support local communities, deepen its presence in the market, and contribute to a more sustainable future.
